About
Gina Bare, MA, RN, is Director of Program and Partnership Development at the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA), where she leads the management of federal cooperative agreements that strengthen the nation's environmental public health systems, including food safety initiatives. A registered nurse and environmental health specialist, Gina brings a regulatory and public health perspective grounded in more than a decade at Boulder County Public Health, where she supervised regulatory staff, set program direction, and led numerous foodborne illness outbreak investigations. She currently serves on the National Restaurant Association's Food Safety Think Tank and has been a member of the Council to Improve Foodborne Outbreak Response (CIFOR) for over a decade. Gina holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership and completed a leadership fellowship through the Regional Institute of Health and Environmental Leadership (RIHEL), where she later served as a leadership coach. She also leads the NEHA team that administers the Environmental Health Leadership Academy (EHLA) as part of a CDC cooperative agreement.
