Dr. Darin Detwiler

Dr. Darin Detwiler is a food safety advisor, author, and educator with more than 30 years of experience in food safety policy, advocacy, and leadership. He has worked with many companies and organizations, including the USDA, FDA, NEHA, and CDC, and is widely recognized for his contributions to advancing food safety culture and public health awareness. Dr. Detwiler currently teaches food law at Michigan State University and is the author of Food Safety: Past, Present, and Predictions and Building the Future of Food Safety Technology: Blockchain and Beyond. His work has been featured in the Emmy Award-winning Netflix documentary Poisoned: The Dirty Truth About Your Food and in numerous media outlets, publications, and industry events worldwide.
